Royal Scrap Club Member Spotlight

This weeks member in the spotlight is not only one of our charter DPS Nashville, TN members; but she is one of the most supportive people I've ever met. She and I have so very much in common. It is unbelievable how much we have in common from being Boy and Girl Scout Troop Leaders to wedding planning to scrapbooking. She loves red apple decorations in her kitchen...so do I!  She collects tea pots and tea cups...So do I.  We read the same books and even think alike. She is a hands on person and loves crafting challenges.  Give her a timed project... she jumps right in. If you can't figure out how to create a special project...She can do it. In 2012, my sister and I planned a 70th birthday celebration for my mom. I told her that I wanted 9 centerpieces for the tables and I wanted all of them to be different...She built some outstanding centerpieces. WARNING: Venting Session

This coupon almost seems too good to be true...NOT! I have not really shopped at this store for at least 3 years. I mean, I go every now and then when paper is 6 for $.96 or when Fiskars punches are 60 % off. What I really hate about this store is how they get you into the store with a booklet of wonderful coupons. Fifty off of this or an additional 20% off of that. Well, the truth of the matter is; what the heck can you use the coupons on!!!  Anything a person would really want or need is already on sale for a measly 15-25% off. So the coupon is USELESS TO US. Big deal if you say that your will match competitors prices and coupons. Anybody can match a price on something you don't want. You may be asking, What is she talking about? For example the Christian owned craft store has Cricut cartridges and accessories 30% off. Right??Are you going to match that?? Nope. The other craft store with the red and white logo has punches 40% off. Are you going to match that? Nope. Come on guys...

RSC Member Spotlight

More than Just Scrapbooking... The sisterhood of Royal Scrap Club; "Royal Scrappas"  became members of Delta Phi Scrappa (DPS) in 2009 and had its first official DPS-Nashville meeting in December 2009. We began with 13. Many have remained active, some have fallen by the wayside and new members have joined us.  We are approaching our 5th year anniversary as DPS Nashville, TN. So for the next few months, we will be shinning the spot light on member of the original 13 whom have remained faithful and active. Her  mother got her started with arts and crafts. They did an earlier version of scrapbooking in the 60's; before scrapbooking was cool. They did painting, sewing and macrame in the 70s, photography and crocheting in the 80s. She started quilting and scrapbooking in the 2000's.
