About Me

HI! I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. Allow me to introduce myself..I'm a follower of Jesus Christ and mom of 2 children. Out of all of the hobbies that I've invested in over the last several years, scrapbooking has been the most rewarding. I thank God for giving me the gift of scrapbooking. Even they way it started was a blessing.
I created my first scrapbooks in 1998 while I was a Sunday school teacher.  It started out as a memory book to help the students learn scripture and Bible stories.  The books were very nice; but needed stickers!  I went to the Parent-Teacher store and discovered Mrs. Grossman’s stickers.  I bought stickers and her  $12 idea book.  At that time, I had not known that there was a “Scrapbooking craze” going on; neither did I know that there were stores dedicated to only scrapbooking.
Soon I discovered scrapbooking websites, specialty stores, and magazines.  I continued to make booklets for my class.  All of the parents loved the books and I began to “collect” scrapbook paper, tools, and embellishments.  I attended my first scrapbooking convention in 2002, Simply Southern.  I attended my first CK convention in 2003, and have been attending each year the convention is in town. I attend workshops, host and attend monthly crops, receive monthly scrapbook magazines, and scrapbook every day.

You can become a member of the Royal Scrap Club as well as become one of my treasured clients.  I specialize in providing customized scrapbook pages, albums, and desktop albums.  A custom designed scrapbook album is one of the most unique and cherished gifts you can give.

Not only because my maternal grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer; but because my mom had a scare a few years ago.  In 2009, the Lord healed me from ovarian cancer. To God Be the glory for the things he has done. I give him praise for healing me and for the courage and hope that i received from my mom and my grandmother.  Yes, Lord we need a cure.  My prayers and ...

SOC Celebrate #8 Blog Hop: Day 2

Thanks for Coming Back! I'm still celebrating with my SOC sisters and my daughter Alexis. I'm so very proud of her, which is why she is my focus during this celebration blog hop.   Layout 2: Supplies Paper:  Stampin Up! Paper: Me and My Big Idea Stickers: EK success Border trim: Recollections Bling: Recollections       My daughter is NOT a fan of pastel colors which is why I'm continuing with the bright colors.  I used the black Congratulations paper because I wanted to make the layout pop. I cut a large frame by using the Storybook Cricut Cartridge; set for 10 inches.  I cut it in half and inked the edges to tone down the white. I also matted and inked the stickers. Example 1: Inking and Frames   Q: How often do you ink the edges of you paper? Do you ever use inks other than browns and blacks?      I've been trying to experiment with different layouts by doing things like t...

Scraps of Color "Christmas in July" Blog Hop: Day 1

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay.  I saw that there was a bid on a new Pink Journey Cricut Expression Bundle that was about to end and the price was like 40 bucks. I was like; No way. The Bundle included 3 cartridges; one of which was the Pink Journey Champagne Rose Solution cartridge. So, I bid $56 and won the bid.  That was such a great deal simply because the Pink Journey cartridge sells for about that; at least on eBay.  Below is the layout that I created to commemorate the purchase LAYOUT 1 Solid Cardstock is Recollections Patterned Paper is Stampin Up!
