SOC Hot Fun in the Summertime Blog Hop: Day 2

S ummertime is for Grilling!    There are two men in my family that can throw down on the Grill! Hon-neey, my Uncle Charles and my cousin Kevin are the real grill masters. This must be a man thing. No matter how hot it is outside, they do not leave the grill. I don’t know what their secret is; but the meat and vegetables are always perfectly seasoned. Yum, yum. Who is the grill master of your family? Do you attempt to grill? 1 of 2 (Mr. & Mrs. Olden, my cousins. they are are a grilling team.) This layout was a challenge because it's all about Kevin and Sugar on the grill. I didn't want the distraction of patterned pager or loads of embellishments. I choose black black cardstock because of  stitches in the picnic patterned paper and because is was subtle. Just right. 06/22/2012   Summertime Memories and Family      Aahhh, summertime is here. Summer has soooo many fun memories for me. From my earliest memories of playing in the sprinklers at my Madea's row home to picking beans and tomatoes at my granny and granddaddy's home. What is summer without your family? Family vacations, cookouts, pool parties, and decoration day at the family cemetery are the memories we need to preserve . For me its about family and the memories we are making for the next generation. Since I started scrapbooking seriously in 2003, I've become the keeper of the family photos.         What is your earliest summertime memory? Was it eating watermelon on the porch and spitting seeds? Was it a special summertime fling? Was it the first summer that your baby walked for the first time?
