Happy 70th Birthday Mom

October 24, 2012, my mom turned 70 years old. We had a grand time. My sister; along with our scrappy girlfriends, threw her a grand bash. It was fit for a queen. We had a full program; complete with speakers, a wonderfully catered meal, servers and decorators. Below are the first 2 pages of her scrapbook.

The party theme was " Still I Rise". Based on the song by Yolanda Adams. The colors were Black, Gold, Cream, and Silver.

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay. WELCOME BACK to the Scraps of Color Celebrate #8 Blog Hop I've Been Accepted!! I can remember when my daughter and I were reading about colleges and she told me that she only wanted to go to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) . I was thinking, praise God TSU (Tennessee State University) here she comes. DING-DONG-WRONG! She said that she wanted to go to Alabama A&M in Huntsville. Then the prayer wheel started turning. October 7, 2011: Scraps Of Color Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! So, in honor of this event--I, along with some talented crafter's, have teamed up to honor and celebrate the men and women in our lives that inspire us with their strength in the battle against Breast Cancer. Of course, a blog hop isn't complete without blog candy! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop! Plus, there will be an SOC blog hop gift awaiting one visitor!!
