Rediscover the Magic of Christmas

Good morning and Merry Christmas

I can hardly believe that it is Christmas Eve. No doubt you're in disbelief at how quickly the year has passed. While many of us are preparing for Christmas Eve services and Christmas Eve family decorating, we do not want to forget about those in our circles that are hurting. Let us not forget about those outside of our circles and remember those that are homeless with no family or friends.

The older I get, the more I rely on a quote from Dr. Seuss, “Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas perhaps mean a little bit more..” Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, I have learned to look beyond the magical lights, decorations, gifts, and parties to see the true magic of Christmas. The magic of Christmas, to me, is looking beyond your present circumstance, looking beyond the material things, and looking beyond the political and social scenes of our nation. I encourage you today to look beyond Christmas Day and rediscover the magic.

I've been observing and journaling the behavior of my granddaughter over the past several weeks; since we decorated the Christmas trees, and she is so excited about Christmas. It's all pretty magical and beautiful to her. Of course, she's not worried about a triple-demic, disruptions in the supply chain, and certainly not social and political unrest. Of course, she's not concerned with those situations because she is a child. Is it possible for us to regain some of that magic and innocence?

While Santa is a cool dude and no doubt, he's known to be very generous, let us not forget that Christmas is about the birth of God's son Jesus. Jesus came into the world to give us love, hope, joy, and peace. This message and gift will never change for me and my house.

Bessings & Merry Christmas,

Cyndi

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay.  I saw that there was a bid on a new Pink Journey Cricut Expression Bundle that was about to end and the price was like 40 bucks. I was like; No way. The Bundle included 3 cartridges; one of which was the Pink Journey Champagne Rose Solution cartridge. So, I bid $56 and won the bid.  That was such a great deal simply because the Pink Journey cartridge sells for about that; at least on eBay.  Below is the layout that I created to commemorate the purchase LAYOUT 1 Solid Cardstock is Recollections Patterned Paper is Stampin Up! Not only because my maternal grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer; but because my mom had a scare a few years ago.  In 2009, the Lord healed me from ovarian cancer. To God Be the glory for the things he has done. I give him praise for healing me and for the courage and hope that i received from my mom and my grandmother.  Yes, Lord we need a cure.  My prayers and ...
