Imagine the Possibilities

I have been running my business for well over 20 years. What started out as a Sunday school project evolved into a business idea, all from my kitchen table. Royal Scrap Club was created and founded in 1999 and has been a thriving faith-based home business every since. We have evolved from two people scrapbooking at my kitchen table to hosting monthly workshops and quarterly open events. We have added page kits and faith and esteem building workshops.

I was very content until my youngest sister told me about Corner to Corner. After doing some research I decided apply to be added to the wait list. I wasn't sure if I would be a part of the random selection. But praise God I was selected. I am so glad that I was a part of the program. While I was already in business for over 20 years, a lot of things I had taught myself through trial and error. But overall, I am very thankful to have gone through the program.

The Academy

The Academy is a 10-week program that equips community members with the skills they need to plan, start, and grow their own small businesses. The Academy helps neighbors create a sustainable economic engine for their families and community. In an effort to remove many of the typical barriers to entrepreneurial training, The Academy is offered in a variety of locations – all within walking distance of government housing projects. And in 2020, we also started offering virtual classes. The program is intentionally affordable. Students are only required to cover the cost of their curriculum workbook. Since inception, The Academy has graduated almost 850 entrepreneurs, each in various stages of small business ownership. And 88% of our Academy community is made up of Black women.

Corner to Corner is the ONLY Nashville-based nonprofit that offers an exclusive program designed to equip underestimated entrepreneurs with the skills they need to plan, start, and grow their own small business.

New Season. New Inspiration

Royal Scrap Club is moving into a new season. I don't exactly know where we're going from here, but I know it's up! We have found I knew meeting space that I'm praying will evolve into a more permanent situation. We have outgrown our current space by about 30 guests. We are also bringing back the loyalty program. Our Hi-Qi loyalty program is if you buy 6 page  layout kits, you get one free.

Yes, we are continuing to grow and the possibilities are endless

Scraps of Color "Christmas in July" Blog Hop: Day 1

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay.  I saw that there was a bid on a new Pink Journey Cricut Expression Bundle that was about to end and the price was like 40 bucks. I was like; No way. The Bundle included 3 cartridges; one of which was the Pink Journey Champagne Rose Solution cartridge. So, I bid $56 and won the bid.  That was such a great deal simply because the Pink Journey cartridge sells for about that; at least on eBay.  Below is the layout that I created to commemorate the purchase LAYOUT 1 Solid Cardstock is Recollections Patterned Paper is Stampin Up! SOC CELEBRATE #8 BLOG HOP: DAY 3

WELCOME BACK to the Scraps of Color Celebrate #8 Blog Hop I've Been Accepted!!    I can remember when my daughter and I were reading about colleges and she told me that she only wanted to go to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) .  I was thinking, praise God TSU (Tennessee State University) here she comes. DING-DONG-WRONG! She said that she wanted to go to Alabama A&M in Huntsville. Then the prayer wheel started turning. " Lord, you said that you would supply all of our needs according to your riches" and you said that "What things we desire, when we pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them".        Now, she had some struggles in high school and was at best a B- to C+ student . Even though she would study and work hard; she had trouble. School just did not come easy to her; but her common sense and work ethic was ON POINT. Believe that. Nevertheless, Alexis only applied to one school. She ha...

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! Of course, a blog hop isn't complete without blog candy! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop! Plus, there will be an SOC blog hop gift awaiting one visitor!! To be eligible for that prize, you must comment on all the blogs by Monday, Oct. 10 at 11:00pm EST. The fight to find a cure for breast cancer is near and dear to my heart. Not only because my maternal grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer; but because my mom had a scare a few years ago.  In 2009, the Lord healed me from ovarian cancer. To God Be the glory for the things he has done. I give him praise for healing me and for the courage and hope that i received from my mom and my grandmother.  Yes, Lord we need a cure.  My prayers and ...
