Autumn Birthday’s Continued
My daughter and I
celebrated another special autumn birthday with my “friend” Jeff. Alexis and
Jeff are both DJ’s; well Lexi is a DJ apprentice. We gave Jeff 3 envelopes
labled: Food and Fun, Shopping Spree, and Dessert. He chose what he wanted to do
first by which envelope he chose. Envelope 1 was dinner and games at INCREDIBLE
Dave’s. Envelope 2 was a $5.00 shopping spree at Dollar General Store. LOL!!!
Envelope 3 was strawberry shakes at Jack N the Box. LOL!! We also went to his favorite place; Sam Ash,
to look at guitars. **this man has a music room that houses guitars hanging on
the wall, a keyboard, and drums**. He did NOT need another guitar.
Example 1: Jam Session
I used my Rock Princess Cricut cartridge and inked the yellow Rock On Guitar image too.
This layout turned out good, considering how difficult it was to put together. The difficulty came from a scraps challenge.
Lord Help!
Example 2: I made the envelopes from scrap paper and edged it with a gold pen. I cant remember who the stickers are from.
I used all scraps in these layouts.
I chose not to mat the photos because there several paper patterns and elements were used.

Example 6: The showcase
I used Creative Memories journaling mat to tell the story of Birthday Tour 2011. I did mat and ink these photos to make the pop against the dark red.
Jeff must be texting their tour manager.
Example 7: Brackets
Oops one of my brackets is not straight. The layering here is nice though.
Q: have you ever created and put together a 2 page layout from just scraps and your paper stash? Trust me it is more difficult than you think. Especially when you want new stuff for those special moments.
