Here I go again

2/6/2012
I made a 3 scrappy resolutions in January; have all of my 35mm roles of film developed,  to use up some of the paper and embellishments in my stash, and to complete 1 project by the end of January. Here we are...in the 2 week of February...How much have I accomplished...

Let's see...NUTHIN. Nuthin at all. Not one role of film has been developed, I purchased more paper and stuff, and I'm still on the same project.  Why is it so had to follow through on a fiery decision. You get pumped up, give yourself a pep talk and get your family and best friends to agree with you. Ready, set, go! Then what happens?

I wonder how God feels when we make promises to him and are on fire to live for him and THEN we fizzle out and give up. Give up before we ever get started.  We churchy  folks know all the right scriptures:Philippians 4:13 I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me...Romans 8:37 in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. We can go on and on. My mom says " If you can trust Him for one thing, you can trust him in all things. God if Faithful".  Faithful?  FAITHFUL? FAITHful? Yes, our God is faithful in all things.  God knows that we are weak in the flesh, he know the power of the mind over the will of the spirit. He knows and he understands how hard it can be to overcome.  He has promised that we can be overcomers just like he overcame all that he was faced with. Trust me, I don't want to lower or diminish what he did  during His temptations. I simply want to convey that He is faithful, understanding, and able to help us to overcome. We have got to be bold and say "It is written, I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM WHO STRENGTHENS ME."

Now, lets go before the Father in prayer. We have the tools and the abilities.

Not only because my maternal grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer; but because my mom had a scare a few years ago.  In 2009, the Lord healed me from ovarian cancer. To God Be the glory for the things he has done. I give him praise for healing me and for the courage and hope that i received from my mom and my grandmother.  Yes, Lord we need a cure.  My prayers and ...

SOC Celebrate #8 Blog Hop: Day 2

Thanks for Coming Back! I'm still celebrating with my SOC sisters and my daughter Alexis. I'm so very proud of her, which is why she is my focus during this celebration blog hop.   Layout 2: Supplies Paper:  Stampin Up! Paper: Me and My Big Idea Stickers: EK success Border trim: Recollections Bling: Recollections       My daughter is NOT a fan of pastel colors which is why I'm continuing with the bright colors.  I used the black Congratulations paper because I wanted to make the layout pop. I cut a large frame by using the Storybook Cricut Cartridge; set for 10 inches.  I cut it in half and inked the edges to tone down the white. I also matted and inked the stickers. Example 1: Inking and Frames   Q: How often do you ink the edges of you paper? Do you ever use inks other than browns and blacks?      I've been trying to experiment with different layouts by doing things like t...

Scraps of Color "Christmas in July" Blog Hop: Day 1

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay.  I saw that there was a bid on a new Pink Journey Cricut Expression Bundle that was about to end and the price was like 40 bucks. I was like; No way. The Bundle included 3 cartridges; one of which was the Pink Journey Champagne Rose Solution cartridge. So, I bid $56 and won the bid.  That was such a great deal simply because the Pink Journey cartridge sells for about that; at least on eBay.  Below is the layout that I created to commemorate the purchase LAYOUT 1 Solid Cardstock is Recollections Patterned Paper is Stampin Up!
