SOC Sisters and Sisterhood Blog Hop: Pt 3

Hello Fellow Scrappers and Card Makers!  I've already introduced you to one of the four the ladies in my Sisterhood Pack.  Sister number 3 is my cousin Consuela "Sugar".  Gee, what can I say about "Sugar"...she is my BFF. We think alike, say many of the same things, say exactly what's on our minds, will shank somebody for talking about our mamas, disin' our kids, and love some fried chicken and turnip greens.  Sugar allows me to vent without making me feel like I'm not saved.  We made the same mistakes and can identify with each other with...stuff. yeah, stuff. We cry and shout through emails.  Other than my bio-sister Carolyn (#1), Sugar is my soulsister and best friend. Her only flaw is that she does not scrapbook! What's that all about!?



 





Supplies:  Printed cardstock from DCWV Nana's Kids. Ribbon from Paper Studio. Stickers from  Sticko and Paper Studio. Large flower Recollections. Button from Sticko Button Ups.

Sister number 4 in my Sisterhood Pack is Pat. Pat is from New York and is nothing like me.  Other than the obvious, We are night and day.  She is too funny and sometimes silly.  All I know is, that when I had the "Big H" in 2007 and was in the hospital for 7 days, she was there.  When I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and healed, she help me with all of my research and taught me what questions to ask the doctors.  She even brought me scrapbooking magazines and embellishments while I was in the hospital.  We hang out quite often plus we work together.  Her only flaw is that she had 4 cats. Yuck!

    Wow the stories are so funny But real at the same time. Nothing like having friends/sisters to be there for you BIO or not. I just love reading them. Thanks for being my bio sister and friend and teaching how to scrapbook even though I'm not "there" yet but willing to learn something new.

    Now the digital scrapbooking....I can do that. NICE!

SOC CELEBRATE #8 BLOG HOP: DAY 3

WELCOME BACK to the Scraps of Color Celebrate #8 Blog Hop I've Been Accepted!!    I can remember when my daughter and I were reading about colleges and she told me that she only wanted to go to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) .  I was thinking, praise God TSU (Tennessee State University) here she comes. DING-DONG-WRONG! She said that she wanted to go to Alabama A&M in Huntsville. Then the prayer wheel started turning. SOC Hot Fun in the Summertime Blog Hop

06/22/2012   Summertime Memories and Family      Aahhh, summertime is here. Summer has soooo many fun memories for me. From my earliest memories of playing in the sprinklers at my Madea's row home to picking beans and tomatoes at my granny and granddaddy's home. What is summer without your family? Family vacations, cookouts, pool parties, and decoration day at the family cemetery are the memories we need to preserve . For me its about family and the memories we are making for the next generation.
