Labor Day Weekend

HAPPY LABOR DAY & HAPPY SCRAPPIN

As we head into Labor Day weekend! Generally, the main way to celebrate Labor Day is by taking the day off work and school, and enjoying the company of your family, friends, and neighbors.

As we celebrate this weekend with our family and friends, let us try to remember those who worked long hours and in bad conditions, those who are working in law enforcement, nurses and doctors, MOTHERS, and our real pastors. Without those workers, we wouldn't have the functioning society that we do today.

If you're looking to go out with your friends and family on Labor Day, the best way to celebrate it in my opinion is by having a family dinner or a cook out.

Regardless of what your thoughts and traditions are on Labor Day, everyone has to work and it's sometimes nice to sit back, take a moment, and enjoy your day off. It's even more enjoyable if it's a paid day off.

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay. WELCOME BACK to the Scraps of Color Celebrate #8 Blog Hop I've Been Accepted!! I can remember when my daughter and I were reading about colleges and she told me that she only wanted to go to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) . I was thinking, praise God TSU (Tennessee State University) here she comes. DING-DONG-WRONG! She said that she wanted to go to Alabama A&M in Huntsville. Then the prayer wheel started turning. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! So, in honor of this event--I, along with some talented crafter's, have teamed up to honor and celebrate the men and women in our lives that inspire us with their strength in the battle against Breast Cancer.
