Welcome to the ModPodge Designs Scraps Fall Harvest Blog Hop! Day 2

Welcome to the ModPodge Designs Scraps Fall Harvest Blog Hop: Day 2

Autumn Birthday

Another thing I like about Autumn, are the Autumn birthdays!  Me, Mom, and Jeff.  I've decided to make a scrapbook about my birthdays.  I started doing this on my 40th birthday. I should have it done for my 50th celebration. So here is one of the pages from my 45 birthday.

Example 1 & 2: Brads and Paper

I use 8x8 Creative Memories paper and Stapin Up brands. I used 12x12 Colorbok paper and inked the edges to tone down the orange.

Creative Memories has the best double sided paper; which makes it hard to decide which side to use; so I folded the corners.

Example 3: Journaling Blocks

I mounted the Paper Studio stickers. I can't remember who the paper was by; since it came from my scrap stash. LOL

Q: considering how full this page is, Where do I journal? I was thinking about creating another page. I've even thought about making a tag to slide between the picture and large center mat.  What do you think?

Thanks for visiting day 2 of MPDS Fall blog hop See you tomorrow.

Scraps of Color "Christmas in July" Blog Hop: Day 1

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay.  I saw that there was a bid on a new Pink Journey Cricut Expression Bundle that was about to end and the price was like 40 bucks. I was like; No way. The Bundle included 3 cartridges; one of which was the Pink Journey Champagne Rose Solution cartridge. So, I bid $56 and won the bid.  That was such a great deal simply because the Pink Journey cartridge sells for about that; at least on eBay.  Below is the layout that I created to commemorate the purchase LAYOUT 1 Solid Cardstock is Recollections Patterned Paper is Stampin Up! October 7, 2011: Scraps Of Color Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! So, in honor of this event--I, along with some talented crafter's, have teamed up to honor and celebrate the men and women in our lives that inspire us with their strength in the battle against Breast Cancer. Of course, a blog hop isn't complete without blog candy! There will be giveaways on various blogs throughout the hop! Plus, there will be an SOC blog hop gift awaiting one visitor!! To be eligible for that prize, you must comment on all the blogs by Monday, Oct. 10 at 11:00pm EST. The fight to find a cure for breast cancer is near and dear to my heart. Not only because my maternal grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer; but because my mom had a scare a few years ago.  In 2009, the Lord healed me from ovarian cancer. To God Be the glory for the things he has done. I give him praise for healing me and for the courage and hope that i received from my mom and my grandmother.  Yes, Lord we need a cure.  My prayers and ...
