Sisterhood in Action

What is sisterhood? Websters defines sisterhood as the solidarity of women based on shared conditions, experiences, or concerns. The bonds of sisterhood have helped united women to fight for social equality.

I feel that sisterhood is a bond between females whom are not related by blood. They always tell the truth, honor each other, and love each other like natural sisters should. Sisterhood crosses the color lines, outlast boyfriends and sometimes husbands, and even monetary issues.

Yesterday, I carried one of my sisters in my spirit. This sister, is having a hard time as a single mom, job issues, man problems, health problems and car problems. I'm not only praying for her, but I'm putting actions to my faith. I can buy her a car nor give her my job; but I can listen with out judgement and advice. I can watch her kids, I can treat her to a meal high in fat can calories. I can make all of the comfort food she needs. What can you do for your sister-friend?

I'm working on a scrapbook just for my sisterhood.  I don't have many female friends; but I do have 4 strong sisters in my sisterhood.  They are my best friends, secret keepers and my confidants. I'm looking for ideas and examples of sisterhood in action. Please help me out.

Scraps of Color "Christmas in July" Blog Hop: Day 1

My Christmas in July 2013 My Pink Journey CHRISTMAS IN JULY: DAY 1 One Sunday night (I guess it was actually early Monday morning) in July, I had a bad case of insomnia and was fooling around on eBay.  I saw that there was a bid on a new Pink Journey Cricut Expression Bundle that was about to end and the price was like 40 bucks. I was like; No way. The Bundle included 3 cartridges; one of which was the Pink Journey Champagne Rose Solution cartridge. So, I bid $56 and won the bid.  That was such a great deal simply because the Pink Journey cartridge sells for about that; at least on eBay.  Below is the layout that I created to commemorate the purchase LAYOUT 1 Solid Cardstock is Recollections Patterned Paper is Stampin Up! Not only because my maternal grandmother lost her battle with breast cancer; but because my mom had a scare a few years ago.  In 2009, the Lord healed me from ovarian cancer. To God Be the glory for the things he has done. I give him praise for healing me and for the courage and hope that i received from my mom and my grandmother.  Yes, Lord we need a cure.  My prayers and ...
